All payments are posted on this web site one day
after they are posted in the office. Also our office is open from
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through
Friday (except for holidays). My staff and I welcome you and will

The Howard County Treasurer's Office offers several Property Tax payment options. You can select a payment method that is most convenient and helpful to you.

- Single Electronic Payment - One time online payment.
- Spring/Fall Pay Option - Payments are drawn from your account every spring and fall on the tax due date.
- Monthly Pay Plan - Property taxes are drawn monthly on the date you choose.

The Howard County Treasurer is the
custodian of all moneys belonging to Howard
County. The Treasurer collects local taxes which include: real estate tax,
personal property tax, mobile home tax, and state assessed tax. The
Treasurer is responsible for the following miscellaneous taxes: auto excise tax,
inheritance tax, and innkeeper’s tax. The
Treasurer, as an officer on the County
Board of Finance, is responsible
to deposit, invest and account for all moneys entrusted to Howard

The position of Treasurer is
governed by the constitution of Indiana and State law. The term of
office is limited to two consecutive four year terms.
